The Apple A16 Bionic is a 64-bit ARM-based system on a chip designed by Apple and manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited. As tested by Golden Reviewer, the A16 Bionic chip scores 967942 on Antutu and 1887/5455 on GeekBench. Apple says that the A16 Bionic chip is “Focused on three main areas; Power efficiency; display and camera”. It is 40% faster than its competitors, making it the fastest and the best chip ever in a smartphone. Phones that are powered by this chip include the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max and the Apple iPhone 14 Pro.

2. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

The snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is Qualcomm’s premium-tire powerhouse. The Snapdragon SoC is engineered by Qualcomm Technologies. By the score, the Soc scores 1,024,312 on Antutu and 1351 / 3808 on GeekBench. Going by these, the snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip is super powerful and probably the best among Android platforms. Although the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 was criticized for its thermal performance with users reporting overheating and consequently poor battery life, the processor has since delivered additional power saving and extended performance across the board including over 79 minutes longer video streaming and more than 50 minutes longer web browsing. The MediaTek Dimensity 900 Plus is an 8 Core chipset that was launched on July 4, 2022. The processor is manufactured using a 4-nanometer process technology which ensures the chip provides extreme performance for faster frame rates in demanding Apps and games. On Antutu the Density 9000+ beats the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 to Clock 1,149,845 but then it is crushed by the latter as it scores a lower 1349/4342. The Density 9000 Plus is a Flagship Smartphone SoC powering the best phones which include the OnePlus 10R and the OnePlus Nord 3.

4. Apple A15 Bionic

The Apple A15 Bionic is a 64-bit ARM-based system on a chipset designed by Apple and Manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited. It is used in the iPhone 13 series and iPhone 14. In terms of Performance, the A15 Bionic Chip does a good job compared to most of its competitors. It is the successor of the A14 Bionic but falls behind the more powerful A16 Bionic chip. Although it’s not Apple’s most powerful chip, the A15 beats its competition by a 50% margin.

At number six is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is an 8-Core chipset that was released on December 1, 2021, and is manufactured using a 4-nanometer process technology. The chip is a good processor although there were cases by users where the SoC was overheating. It scores 1,029, 556 on Antutu and 1259/4189 on GeekBench. Being one of the best it manages to power the OnePlus 10 Pro.

7. Apple A14 Bionic

The A14 Bionic is a 64-bit ARMv8.5-A system on a chipset, designed by Apple and Manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited. The Soc powers the Fourth Generation iPad Air and the iPhone 12 Series. On performance, Apple has a reputation for designing top-tier chipsets offering a fast and reliable performance that leaves its competitors lagging behind. On Antutu it scores 611,843 and 1613/3909 on GeekBench.

8. Snapdragon 888 Plus

The Snapdragon 888 Plus is a 5G Smartphone platform backed by boosted performance, unrivaled speed, and premium connectivity. It is a close competitor of the Apple A14 Bionic Chip.
